The name Fully Booked is a nod to the ever-expanding to-read pile, be it a stack of books by your bedside, an endless Kindle library, a 1,000+ Goodreads Want-to-Read list, or rows of nicely displayed books you’ve promised yourself you’ll crank through one of these days. We believe the feeling that you’ll never have enough time to tackle it all doesn’t have to be one of creeping dread; rather, it’s a reason to celebrate.

Any book an obsessive reader peruses can transform and renew, even if it simply solidifies your tastes. To quote Henry Miller, “[T]oday more than ever a book should be sought after even if it has only one great page in it. We must search for fragments, splinters, toenails, anything that has ore in it, anything that is capable of resuscitating the body and the soul.” Our goal is to provide quick instant insight into a grab-bag of genres and authors, extending an opportunity for our readers to thoughtfully expand their reading pile and find those fragments and splinters (though hopefully no toenails).
